Hong Ngoc Hospital gave 500 gift sets to locals in the two communes in Nghe An that were most affected by storm No.9

Aiming to share the difficulties that locals have to face with due to flood, in the morning 4th November 2020, Hong Ngoc’s charity team has visited and given gift sets to people living in the two most affected communes, namely Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh, of Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province. The total value of these gift sets is 500 million VND.

Due to the impact of the number 9 storm’s circulation, heavy rain in the last days of October 2020, together with the flood discharge of hydroelectric dams, has caused inundation in numerous communes of Nghe An Province. Among them, the two most affected ones are Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh communes where there were some villages inundated up to 1.5 meters deep.

Great flood caused serious damage to people’s daily life and production: thousands of people were isolated, thousands of poultry were died, crops and fishing farms were also inundated. Therefore, people in Hung Nguyen in general and Chau Nhuan, Hung Thanh in particular have to struggle to overcome this situation after the flood.
