Aiming to share the difficulties that locals have to face with due to flood, in the morning 4th November 2020, Hong Ngoc’s charity team has visited and given gift sets to people living in the two most affected communes, namely Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh, of Hung Nguyen District, Nghe An Province. The total value of these gift sets is 500 million VND.
Due to the impact of the number 9 storm’s circulation, heavy rain in the last days of October 2020, together with the flood discharge of hydroelectric dams, has caused inundation in numerous communes of Nghe An Province. Among them, the two most affected ones are Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh communes where there were some villages inundated up to 1.5 meters deep.
Great flood caused serious damage to people’s daily life and production: thousands of people were isolated, thousands of poultry were died, crops and fishing farms were also inundated. Therefore, people in Hung Nguyen in general and Chau Nhuan, Hung Thanh in particular have to struggle to overcome this situation after the flood.
Understanding the difficulties that locals have to face with and with the hope of sharing burden to help them recover soon, in 4th November, the charity team of Hong Ngoc General Hospital, led by Dr. Tu Duc Sac – the hospital’s Deputy Director has met and given gifts to people living Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh – the two communes said to be the most inundated in the district. Particularly, 500 gift sets, including warm clothes, books, notebooks, medication and food, were given to disadvantaged people. These stuffs are essential for the daily life of them after flood.
Delivering his speech, Dr. Tu Duc Sac could not hold back tear while talking about the lost and damage that people in Hung Nguyen District have faced with. In addition, he sent the best encouragement to all people, hoping everyone to stay health and try to revive the productive economy after the floods.
Although the value of the gift is not much, it is the hospital’s warm encouragement to locals in Chau Nhan and Hung Thanh communes. Hopefully, people will soon overcome the difficulties after the flood.
